1. How to take a screenshot using Steam shortcut

The first way to take a screenshot of your laptop is when playing games from Steam. Love to buy and play games from Steam? Thankfully, Steam is instantly equipped with a screenshot feature! It’s very easy, just press the “F12” button in the game scene that you want to capture. Later, you’ll hear the shutter button and a “screenshot saved” notification.

Don’t want to use the “F12” key? You can replace it, if you want. On the Steam screen, select Steam> Settings> In-Game, and change the Screenshot shortcut keys option.

How do I view the screenshot captured from Steam? If you are still in the game, all you need to do is press Shift + Tab. After that, just select “Show Screenshots” on the overlay screen.

If you are out of the game, scroll to the bottom of the game page in the library. After that, you will see a “View Screenshot Library” button.

2. How to take a screenshot using shortcuts within the game

Many games, especially those not available on Steam, have their own way of capturing screenshots. In most games, the only required button is “PrtScr”. However, some games have a different way of capturing screenshots.

3. How to take a screenshot using Nvidia GeForce Experience

If you use Nvidia hardware, there is likely an Nvidia GeForce Experience app installed on your computer. This application has many functions, one of which is taking a screenshot.

How to take a screenshot on a laptop when using Nvidia GeForce Experience by pressing “Alt” + “F1”. The screenshot image will be saved in GeForce Experience Gallery and there will be a “Screenshot Saved in Gallery” notification which will appear at the top right of the screen when the saving is successful.

To see the screenshot, just press “Alt” + “Z” from anywhere, even from the desktop, to see the overlay screen. Just click “Gallery” to see the screenshot image.

4. How to take a screenshot using the Game Bar in Windows 10

This is probably the easiest way. There is only one requirement to use this feature, you must use Windows 10.

It’s very easy, just press “Windows” + “Alt” + “PrtScr” or “Windows” + “G” to take a picture. After that, all you have to do is press the camera icon, also known as the “Screenshot” button, to take a picture.

The abbreviation can of course be substituted. In Windows 10, search for Settings> Games> Game Bar for options.

To see the screenshot results, you can go to the “Videos” folder, then “Screenshots”. Typically, there is a shortcut to this folder in Windows 10 Explorer. It jumps to the same section as the Music, Download, and Pictures folders.
